Because of your generosity, my students now have headphones, wobble stools, and new playground balls — and each item has made a meaningful difference in our daily learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been a game-changer. Every student now has access to a working pair, making independent work time smoother and more productive. When students need to listen to passages, complete online lessons, or conduct research, they can focus without distractions. This has increased focus, reduced off-task behavior, and allowed students to work at their own pace with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe wobble stools have quickly become a classroom favorite. My students absolutely love using them during lessons. They provide a safe and appropriate way for students to move while learning, which is especially important during longer instructional blocks. The stools allow students to wiggle and shift without becoming disruptive, helping them stay engaged and attentive. I have already noticed improved participation and sustained focus during instruction.\r\n\r\nThe playground balls have also had a powerful impact. During recess, students now have structured and organized activities to engage in. Having equipment available encourages teamwork, active play, and positive social interactions. It has significantly reduced minor conflicts and behavior issues because students have something purposeful and fun to do. They are staying active, building friendships, and returning to class ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a more focused classroom, a more engaging learning environment, and a more positive recess experience for my students. Thank you for investing in them and in our classroom. In our classroom, students use digital tools for reading support, interactive lessons, educational videos, and differentiated instruction. Having access to headphones allows each student to work at their own pace, hear instructions clearly, and stay focused without distractions, which has improved both independence and comprehension.\r\n\r\nStudents are especially excited about having their own personal learning space within a busy classroom. The headphones help reduce background noise and make technology-based learning more comfortable and enjoyable. Several students who benefit from audio supports, increased focus, or sensory regulation have shown noticeable growth in engagement and confidence when using these tools.\r\n\r\nThanks to donor support, our classroom has become more inclusive and accessible, allowing every student to better connect with their learning and feel successful.","fullyFundedDate":1762266288846,"projectUrl":"project/tune-in-to-learning/9855363/","projectTitle":"Tune in to Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nolan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10024913"},{"teacherId":9824183,"projectId":9085583,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for funding my project, \"Let's Rock at Reading with the Class Essentials.\" Your generosity has made an incredible difference in my classroom and positively impacted all of my students in so many meaningful ways. The headphones and microphones have been a game changer, providing reliable, high-quality tools that help students focus during assessments and classwork, especially those using accommodations like text-to-speech and speech-to-text. Now, every student can learn with confidence and without disruption. The organizer rolling carts have brought a whole new level of structure and efficiency to our daily routines. Instead of wasting time searching for journals or supplies, students know exactly where to find what they need, allowing us to start class promptly and stay on track. Lastly, the document camera has been an incredible teaching tool. It allows me to model writing, grammar, note-taking, and reading strategies in real time, making lessons more visual, engaging, and accessible for everyone. Your support didn't just bring in materials, it transformed our learning environment into a more organized, inclusive, and empowering space. The moment the bench arrived, my students were buzzing with excitement. It has quickly become the spot everyone wants to sit in when it's time for independent or partner reading.\r\n\r\nHaving a special place just for reading has truly transformed our classroom. My students are more motivated to dive into their books, and I've noticed them reading for longer periods of time without distraction. Some of my reluctant readers, who used to fidget or avoid reading altogether, now ask, \"Can I read on the bench today?\" It's given them a sense of ownership and pride in their reading time.\r\n\r\nThis bench is more than just a piece of furniture—it's a little corner of comfort and inspiration that encourages my students to fall in love with reading. Your support has made a real and immediate impact on our students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting outcomes of your generosity is the joy and creativity we're seeing during our STEM sessions. Our students absolutely love building and designing with Magna-Tiles, blocks, LEGOs, and other hands-on materials. These tools have not only sparked their imagination but have also encouraged problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking in ways that truly bring STEM to life.\r\n\r\nIt's incredible to watch their ideas take shape—from intricate structures to inventive creations—and to see how these experiences build confidence and a deeper interest in science, engineering, and technology.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us create a space where curiosity and innovation can thrive. Many of the titles include multi-cultural topics that are covered in our reading classroom. These books will serve as an extension for student learning about these topics. For example, we have a unit about Early American Civilizations where we learn about Aztec, Mayan, and Incan civilizations. A few of the books that you provided for our classroom include myths and legends from these civilizations. \r\n\r\nOther books included are titles such as \"Dog Man\" and \"Goosebumps\". Books such as these are very sought after in my 5th grade classroom. I really believe that students who have a choice when picking independent reading books that are appealing to them will continue to nurture their love for reading as the years go by. In my class, students are eager to finish their assignments so that they can get free time to read their choice of books. \r\n\r\nI have also noticed that the students who only speak Spanish have enjoyed the bilingual books that arrived. They are eager to talk to me about the books they are reading and I am so very happy to be able to share my love of reading with my students.","fullyFundedDate":1744225127420,"projectUrl":"project/books-to-foster-love-of-reading/9138914/","projectTitle":"Books to Foster Love of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pineda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4079076_orig.jpg?crop=360,360,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1650294316560","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4079076"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12079","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":755,"numTeachers":51,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":59,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.0,"schoolId":12079,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Robert L Crippen Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Robert L Crippen Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/new-caney-independent-school-district/robert-l-crippen-elementary-school/12079"}
