Because of your generosity, our classroom has become a calmer, more welcoming space where students feel comfortable learning and being themselves.\r\n\r\nWe began using the new resources right away. The fluorescent light covers softened the harsh classroom lighting and immediately made the room feel more peaceful. Students noticed the difference right away and commented on the awesome changes they saw around the room. The throw pillows and stress cubes have also become part of our daily routines. During independent reading or reflection time, students often use the pillows in our reading corner, and the stress cubes give them a quiet way to regulate their energy when they feel anxious or overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nThe Spanish motivational posters and neon affirmation lights have been especially meaningful for my students who are learning English. Seeing positive messages in their home language helps students feel recognized and valued, which builds confidence to participate in class discussions and activities.\r\n\r\nThe electronic timers and pencil dispenser have helped us establish clear routines and independence in our classroom. Students know exactly how much time they have for tasks, and they can quickly grab a pencil and get started without disrupting learning time.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these tools will continue to support a classroom environment where students feel emotionally safe and ready to learn. When students feel calm and supported, they are more willing to take academic risks, practice English, collaborate with classmates, and engage deeply with their learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a space where my students feel seen, encouraged, and capable of success. Thank you for investing in them and in the environment that helps them thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1769177264198,"projectUrl":"project/helping-students-feel-safe-seen-and-re/9981322/","projectTitle":"Helping Students Feel Safe, Seen, and Ready to Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1186254_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705164453840","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/eslenvironment"},{"teacherId":4815866,"projectId":9797076,"letterContent":"It's been such a joy seeing students reading and discussing The Diary of Anne Frank the graphic novel adaptation.
