My students don't have a history of literacy or loving books. For most of them, English is not their first language, so they are learning how to comprehend the language along with learning how to comprehend stories in general. My students are the reason I come to school every day, and because of their futures, I want them to fall in love with stories of all kinds and choose to read in their free time, not just in school.
