Based on popularity, our clubs have grown and a demand for different materials and snacks were needed. This money allowed us to provide experiences for students they would not have otherwise had.\r\n\r\nObviously, the snacks were a hit, but so necessary, as we release from clubs at 4:30 p.m., and sixth grades eat at 11 a.m. So they needed the energy to play games, run track, or even play video games.\r\n\r\nAs for crafts, one that stands out is the lantern project. The kids were so excited to see the lights and to make a fun Halloween lantern to take home and keep. The students were also thrilled with the new beads for the bracelet making club. \r\n\r\nThank you again for donating to out hangouts so that our students can have positive after school experiences with teachers and staff.","fullyFundedDate":1727361184859,"projectUrl":"project/vanston-hang-outs-create-a-sense-of-belo/8805280/","projectTitle":"Vanston Hang-Outs Create a Sense of Belonging!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bates","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9767012"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12139","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":772,"numTeachers":55,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":77,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.4,"schoolId":12139,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Education Vanston Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Education Vanston Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/mesquite-independent-school-district/ed-vanston-middle-school/12139"}
