This project has helped my students in more ways than one. \r\nOne aspect that is severely lacking in literacy is reading stamina. Stories provided by the curriculum are only so long and so not challenge students. When gym rats workout, they train to and attempt to go past failure. This does not help with short articles and passages. With a chapter book, it can. Strengthening the brain like the muscle it is. \r\n\r\nLong term recall is also a key component in these projects.
