As a first year reading teacher, I have not been able to provide my students with a classroom library that has a variety of on level books. By growing the classroom library, the students would be even more motivated to read books in English and Spanish. My students would expand their vocabulary with dictionaries and their fluency with books. I love to give them meaningful Self Selected Reading time and allow them to enjoy a book of their interest. By adding more Spanish and English book titles and dictionaries to the classroom library, the passion for reading will only grow in my students. My students appreciate any and every book we have so far and by growing their appreciation for books they have also grown in love. My goal is to grow their love for reading and give them the opportunities to enjoy it!
