I have a very diverse group of students. They are all wonderful! They came into the classroom with very different background knowledge. We work together to build from their background knowledge a strong academic knowledge base. I have some very active boys in my class this year. I have three football players. Boy, are they competitive! I have two girl soccer players. They love to tell me about their games. I have one boy who constantly talks about Minecraft. He showed me a little on his iPhone. I love how he tells me it is all squares. He definitely knows his shapes and is proud of it! They are all wonderful and love to learn. I could go on and on about them. My school is supportive and constantly works to improve and support students academically and out of school as well. We have an initiative to integrate technology within the classrooms. The headphones will certainly help in this department.
