After a long, high-energy session of running, playing, and giving it their all, they were exhausted, sweaty, and ready for a break. When I brought the Powerade out, they got so pumped—some of them were cheering and saying how much they needed it after working so hard. It was great to see how excited they were and how quickly it lifted their spirits. The drinks helped them cool down, rehydrate, and get some energy back after being outside for so long. It also gave us a moment to slow down, regroup, and talk about why hydration and recovery are important after physical activity. For the kids, it felt like a reward for their effort and hard work, and it showed them that I noticed how much energy they had put into the activities. Ending our afterschool program that way left everyone feeling positive, appreciated, and proud of the hard work they had done. The large targets gave them a clear and exciting goal to aim for, which helped them work on throwing skills like accuracy, control, and hand–eye coordination without even realizing they were practicing. Because the targets were easy to see and hit, my students felt successful right away, and that success made them want to keep trying. What stood out the most to me was how excited they were. They were smiling, cheering for each other, and constantly asking for another turn. After class, many of them were so excited that they started telling students in other grade levels all about the new things I had in PE and the games we were playing. I even heard kids talking about it in the hallway later in the day. That excitement carried into my next classes, with students coming in already motivated and eager to participate. This activity helped them practice patience, taking turns, and encouraging one another, while also building confidence. Overall, it wasn't just about improving throwing skills—it was about creating joy, excitement, and a positive connection to physical activity that my students were proud to share. thank you so much for everything you do for us at Truett","fullyFundedDate":1767031096641,"projectUrl":"project/inflate-the-hope-into-fun/9731950/","projectTitle":"Inflate the Hope Into Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Kang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9774550"},{"teacherId":9774550,"projectId":9649480,"letterContent":"When the equipment arrived, my students were thrilled and curious.
