Having copies of The Chocolate Touch has given our class the opportunity to experience a novel together, making reading more engaging, interactive, and meaningful. Students are able to follow along, discuss characters and events with their classmates, and think more deeply about important themes such as choices, consequences, and appreciating what we have.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting things for my students has been having their own copy of the book to use during our lessons. There is something special about seeing the entire class reading the same story and hearing students excitedly discuss what they think will happen next. Even some of my more reluctant readers have become more involved in our conversations and eager to continue reading. The shared experience has helped students feel more confident expressing their ideas and responding to the ideas of their classmates.\r\n\r\nThe toner for our classroom printer has also had an important impact on our learning. While students may not always see the technology behind everything we do, reliable access to our printer allows me to quickly prepare reading activities, assessments, small-group materials, graphic organizers, and differentiated resources. This is especially valuable when a student needs additional practice or when I need to adjust instruction based on what I see happening in the classroom.\r\n\r\nI have especially enjoyed watching students who previously hesitated to participate become more engaged during our novel discussions. Having the book in their hands, along with supporting materials that help them organize their thoughts, has given them more opportunities to participate successfully.\r\n\r\nThank you for making these resources possible for my students.
