We are using the birthday cups throughout the year to recognize each student on their special day. When a child has a birthday, they receive a personalized cup filled with fun goodies like sticky hands, party blowers, mini erasers, and fidget toys. We take a few moments as a class to sing, cheer, and make that child feel extra special. It has become a cherished classroom tradition that my students look forward to all year long.\r\n\r\nThe first time I introduced the birthday cups, my students' reactions were priceless. Their eyes widened with excitement, and they couldn't stop smiling. Some students hugged their cups, while others proudly showed them to friends. One student told me, \"This is the best birthday ever,\" which truly showed how meaningful this small gesture is—especially for children who may not get celebrated outside of school.\r\n\r\nBeyond the excitement, these birthday celebrations have strengthened our classroom community. Students are learning to celebrate one another, practice kindness, and show appreciation for their peers. As we continue with our current lessons on social-emotional learning, friendship, and empathy, these celebrations support those goals by helping students understand the importance of inclusion and making others feel valued.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students feel seen, loved, and important. You didn't just provide supplies—you helped create joyful memories and a classroom where every child knows they matter. Your generous contribution has made a tremendous difference in our daily learning experience. The new materials have brought so much joy and excitement to our students. \r\n\r\nOur special Flashlight Fridays have become a favorite classroom tradition thanks to the batteries you helped provide. Reading stories in the dark with just a flashlight has transformed literacy time into a magical adventure. Students are more engaged and motivated to practice their reading skills, making learning fun and memorable. The new paper, labels, and Command strips have also helped us keep the classroom organized, empowering students to take ownership of their work and materials.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to continue using these resources to build a supportive and inspiring environment where every student feels valued and encouraged. The kids love seeing their work printed in full color — it really adds that extra spark and makes them feel proud of what they've created.\r\n\r\nThis printer also gives us the flexibility to respond to teachable moments without waiting in line for shared equipment. These stories are helping my students connect with characters, build vocabulary, and develop their reading comprehension in fun and engaging ways.\r\n\r\nWe're also super excited about the STEM supplies — especially the nursery pots! While we haven't started planting just yet, we're already making plans to kick off our planting unit in the spring.
