Students can begin their day with their classroom family in a safe whole group space. They know that everyday will begin on that same carpet. We will also meet for books, whole group mini lessons, and end of the day celebrations. They thrive on repetition and routine and using a big carpet as a centralized meeting place will enforce safety and repetition. Students will know where to go and here to sit. They will be excited about having their own space and knowing where to go every time. Bonding, learning, and reading will take place multiple times during each day. Let’s give them that!
