Because of your generosity, my students now have the colored paper, glue sticks, colored pencils, and scissors they need to turn their daily lessons into a personalized learning journey.\r\n \r\nThe favorite moments in our classroom now happen when we create interactive maps and foldables. Using colored paper and pencils to color-code regions or build 3D organizers allows students to physically manipulate the information they are learning. This hands-on process has completely changed their relationship with their notes. One student recently shared that they find it much easier to stay engaged because they finally have 'a version of their book that they created' themselves. \r\n\r\nBeyond the initial creation, these materials are building lifelong study habits. Another student noted that their notebook has become their go-to resource, saying it makes it 'so much easier to study' when it comes time for a test. By providing these tools, you haven't just given us supplies; you've given my students a sense of ownership and pride in their education. As an educator, I am always excited to see my students excited about learning. With the tools donated to my classroom, my students are able to explore creating and building techniques on a small scale to help them find different things they enjoy. \r\n\r\nI am finding many students instinctively understand how to build, design, and create things if we have the resources that allow them to do so. So many times, we lack necessary materials to allow students to find what they love that the love of learning leaves them. My goal is to utilize STEM activities to help our students keep their love of learning.\r\n\r\nOur class is using these resources to extend our learning in Science and Math, so students can see different types of opportunities that may be available to them.
