Students love the ability to create and imagine their own world using technology. Many of the students in my class do not have access to the internet for enrichment activities at home. My students currently have access to programs such as Prodigy where they create their own world and avatar. They are also using Math IXL and Extra Math which level students based on their individual needs and learning paths. These programs add depth to topics selected by the teacher as well as move them along based on a beginning of the year placement test. All of this is done to provide each student with their least restrictive environment so they can become more successful. These laptops will help provide enrichment and remediation for students based on their individual level in specifically assigned math topics. This will be done to enhance the learning of all of my diverse learning community.
