All of the materials have already been put to use in these first few weeks. In the past 2 weeks, we have completed some standardized testing and I was thankful to have the new fidgets that I could pass out to the kids as they were working. I could see their nervous energy turn into concentration when they had them in their hands. My students love the different colored mats and water bottles and love that they have their own. \r\n\r\nWe have used these mats and water bottles on each Friday during our morning meeting time. My students love to be able to get up and move around and it helps me to teach them special skills such as courage when they aren't able to perform certain moves.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to use the yoga mats, students will continue to be taught new poses which will teach them about using their determination. As a class, we will discuss how the different breathing techniques can be used in the classroom even when yoga isn't being performed. The printer has been a life saver when I need to have a color copy of something to give to the children, like a map or a graph that they need to see colors. It makes it easy when I can say \"Take out your pink foldable\" or \"That is on your yellow reference sheet\". It is especially nice too when I can print my activities on colored card stock that I want to keep and use for future classes.
