Titles such as Mexikid (in both English and Spanish), Eagle Drums, The Many Assassinations of Samir, the Seller of Dreams, and Elf Dog and Owl Head have sparked meaningful conversations. Students who once avoided independent reading are now visiting the library regularly, asking for specific titles, and recommending books to their peers with excitement and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe inclusion of Spanish-language graphic novels such as The Baby-Sitters Club, Dog Man, and Rizos has been especially meaningful. These titles have validated our bilingual and Spanish-speaking students by allowing them to see themselves reflected in the collection and read for enjoyment in their home language. Frizzy, in both English and Spanish, has quickly become one of the most requested books in our library, sparking conversations about identity, friendship, and self-acceptance across grade levels.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the addition of a title from the Click series has resonated strongly with many of our girls, fostering discussions about emotions, relationships, and belonging.
