Now, commercial posters often fill these spaces. I wanted to return the focus to student-created work, knowing that a classroom environment influences motivation. Research shows that when students see their work displayed, they feel pride and belonging. Your donations made this return to student-centered displays possible. \r\n\r\nWith the donated color printer, I encouraged students to enhance typed assignments with graphics and photographs. Typically, Canva is used since it has easy design features for students and teachers. Then, once work was completed, I was able to print work in color and bring our learning, stories, and work to life. Students stopped by the hallway displays to show their friends, and they asked when we would start a new project that would be displayed. Imagine a colored printer being able to encourage more writing and help us feel more connected to the learning space. \r\n\r\nWe thank you for your donations and trust in us to grow dynamic writers, thinkers, and learners.","fullyFundedDate":1745403477151,"projectUrl":"project/ink-where-our-stories-begin/9108709/","projectTitle":"Ink: Where Our Stories Begin","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Scott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9298293_orig.jpg?crop=574,574,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1709045697623","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9298293"},{"teacherId":7146455,"projectId":9059348,"letterContent":"On behalf of our entire class, I want to sincerely thank you for the generous donation of our new mailbox organizer. They had never seen art on such a grand scale – vibrant, bold, and bursting with life. This incredible field trip, made possible by your generous donations, opened their minds to the limitless possibilities of artistic expression. \r\n\r\nThe museum docent's passionate explanations brought the artwork to life. In the north gallery, the students marveled at Miguel Millo's evocative, colorful portraits, each telling a unique story. They enjoyed recreating art pieces created by the studio artists on display in the east gallery and were captivated by the intricate details of the ceramic exhibition in the west gallery. In the south gallery, the YAM Show (Youth Art Month) highlighted the incredible talent of their peers, with several of our own students' pieces proudly on display.\r\n\r\n Seeing their work in a professional setting was a revelation for many of them. The museum's grandeur and the exhibiting artists' skills made their accomplishments shine even brighter. With wide-eyed wonder, they sketched their favorite artworks, eagerly diving into their new art kits, which were generously funded by your donations. \r\n\r\nThe museum visit sparked a creative frenzy that lasted well into the afternoon. Over lunch in the square, students continued to sketch, engrossed in their sketchbooks.
