My students need to hear stories that help them understand the importance of caring about the world and communities in which they live and the importance of having good character. They deserve opportunities to hear stories that are engaging which helps them form better relationships with their teachers, family members and peers. As a school counselor, I want my students to develop a love for reading and make connections to characters from various stories that they will hear during classroom guidance lessons. My students need to hear stories that teach them valuable life lessons which prepare them to be productive citizens of society.
