As I began unboxing them and describing what we would be using the materials for, they asked when we would start. My students work towards earning their green lights each day- when they have earned it they get to choose from one of the alternate seating for the remainder of the math time. This has encouraged them to work hard and stay on task so they can get the seat of their choice first.\r\n\r\nMy students also earn tickets as rewards for positive behavior throughout the school (in class, in the hall, with subs, etc.). They use their tickets to purchase the trinkets from our class store. This helps to ensure they stay on task, participate in class, and follow directions. They have been waiting patiently and earning points for this day.
