All teachers have access to printers and copiers at their schools, but most are only allowed a very limited number of copies. Having 26 students in my class this year, I have been reaching this limit very easily. I use many hands-on activities and manipulatives with my students, but some things just need to be printed out to use! Especially due to the advanced nature of this class and the need for supplementary materials, I have been printing a number of new things! It would benefit my entire class this year, and future classes to have my own printer in the classroom.
We all agree that using less paper is better for the environment, but let's face it: no matter what it is that you are working on, children do better when they have their own tangible paper copy in front of them. There have already been several things this year that I wanted to print out to show my students (rather than just using the SMART Board) but I ran out of copies before school even started. Having our own printer and ink in our classroom would be a game-changer! Thank you in advance for your support of my sweet kindergarten babies and their learning! There are no words to describe my gratitude!
