Having enough equipment for all students to use has allowed our students to be more actively engaged in class by eliminating wait-time between turns. This has greatly improved our classroom management and created an environment where students feel confident and welcomed each time they walk through the door.\r\n\r\nPhysical activity skill levels can vary greatly within an individual class and by having this new equipment, it has allowed me as the teacher to work with students at \"their level.\" I have been able to provide opportunities for basic skill repetition for my beginning level students while also providing challenges appropriate for my more advanced students. Being able to blend varying skill levels together at the same time has allowed students to feel more confident and not worry about other students \"watching them\" when trying to learn a new skill. I have even noticed some of my more advanced students taking on the role as \"coach\" to help their peers when they can. These types of interactions have helped build peer relations and improve overall class morale.\r\n\r\nThe new equipment has provided students with new opportunities for personal growth and self-confidence that has not always been available for them. I have noticed students have had more of a willingness to try new skills and take more \"risks\" without the fear of being judged or laughed at by their peers. Not only does this confidence transfer out of the gym and into the classroom for the students when learning new content, but it allows me as the teacher to create lessons that give the students more opportunities to explore skills individually and in a group setting. Thank you again for your support in helping create a positive classroom environment where all students feel confident and welcomed no matter their experience or skill level.","fullyFundedDate":1768529281718,"projectUrl":"project/ballin-out-the-best-we-can/9904614/","projectTitle":"Ballin' Out the Best We Can!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Chismar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2118453_orig.jpg?crop=422,422,x37,y73&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763489681410","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2118453"},{"teacherId":9281896,"projectId":10076253,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom project, Learning Through Listening: Help with Headphones. Our students complete digital i-ready lessons in the classroom daily. These lessons are completed on i-pads, and as you can imagine, headphones are absolutely necessary to support individual focus and keep classroom noise at a minimum. While some of our students bring headphones for personal use, we also have many who simply cannot afford to do so. Not having headphones is impactful for many reasons, and all of the \"extra\" pairs we had available to offer before your assistance were becoming unreliable, creating even more frustration for our students as they struggled through their i-ready lessons.\r\n\r\nI wish you could've seen their smiling faces on the day our new headphones arrived! The students who were struggling to hear, focus, and complete lessons were so incredibly thrilled they no longer needed to work that much harder to get through their digital learning assignments. I noticed an immediate increase in their daily scores, as well as a positive effect on their motivation to get started on these lessons each day. We cannot thank you enough! The new headphones are so durable compared to the old substitutes we had, so I know they will serve our kindergarten students well for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1770668533503,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-listening-help-with-he/10076253/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Listening: Help with Headphones","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Angle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9281896_orig.jpg?crop=937,937,x22,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753329777001","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9281896"},{"teacherId":9281896,"projectId":9536292,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our Food for Thought project and helping make daily snack time possible in our kindergarten classroom!
