Springtime will see the Bees, Flowers and Lady Bugs sets come out. We have a Pirate Day every year and will surely see students using their favorite; the Treasure Chest. I like the fact that this set has many boxes so that we can have a large group activity where students can work together in teams.\r\n\r\nThe youngest students in the class like using the Peg Number Boards. One of my favorite moments was during our reading block, when students chose a bean bag, grabbed a book, and completely immersed themselves in reading. The comfortable environment has helped students stay focused longer, participate more confidently, and feel safe sharing their ideas.\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately asked if they could read on the carpet and thanked me for making the classroom feel \"like home.\" The snacks have also made a big difference—students are more energized and ready to learn, especially during longer lessons.\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using this flexible seating area to support literacy lessons, collaborative projects, and social-emotional learning activities. Turtles are amazing sea creatures who overcome many challenges, just like my kindergarten students, and this connection has already sparked excitement and meaningful conversations.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students will learn through hands-on experiences using a turtle puppet, engaging books, and special decorations that bring our learning to life. The new headphones, pencil boxes, and dry erase sleeves will also support daily learning and independence in our classroom. One of our favorite activities is our \"Sound and Spell\" stations, where students listen to a word, say it aloud, and then write it on their boards while practicing the matching sound. It's been wonderful to see how engaged they are—students love being able to erase and try again without fear of making mistakes. The whiteboards have made learning to read and write more active and enjoyable, and I've already noticed a boost in their confidence and retention of letter sounds.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' faces lit up with excitement!
