I have requested wiggle seats for my students! I am a Special Education teacher and I also work with students that also have difficulty in the classroom. Sometimes, it is extremely difficult for students to remain seated! The pressure from standardized testing and sometimes just normal learning can hinder a student from concentrating on their work. By having wiggle seats for students, they are able to continue working at their ability but also keep their body moving. The ability to move while learn helps keep some students on task more than they would be had they not had a seat designed to keep their body moving. Fidget toys can help to a degree, but while writing and reading, the ability to use those items isn't always feasible.
