It has created a 4th rotation center for my students. This provides an extra step in their daily schedule that provides and promotes independence. This is such an important addition to our classroom. In a neurodivergent setting, furniture isn't just \"decor\"—it's a physical boundary that helps students understand expectations and reduces the cognitive load of \"where do I go next?\"\r\nThis specific table has created a space for our Occupational therapist and speech pathologist to have their own space to work with students. Oftentimes related service providers don't have their own designated area or space and it makes it difficult to provide the needed services for students. We are currently using the table for speech, occupational therapy and social play. \r\nThis new colored rotation table has created a visual boundary for students, it reduces transition anxiety when they have their colored station and know exactly where to transition to. This table has provided defined personal space for students and related services providers. I know that these plain gray stools aren't all that exciting to look at, but believe me, just because they're not exciting doesn't mean they're not great! Then I'd have to spend precious class time dealing with getting the broken stool out of the way and shifting the remaining stools around so my young scholar could sit down and continue learning. \r\n\r\nIn this era of low funding for public schools and anti-science rhetoric swirling in the national zeitgeist, I think it's more important than ever that students starting at the elementary level have good grasp of basic scientific principles and concepts.
