From the moment it arrived, it has made a noticeable difference in how we learn and engage together. When my students first saw the easel, their eyes lit up with excitement and they immediately began suggesting ways we could use it, from making lists of character traits to solving math equations. It quickly became a central hub for our daily lessons, and its mobility has allowed us to move it around the room to suit both small group and whole group instruction.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments came during a recent math lesson on using base ten blocks to represent numbers. Students placed magnetic base ten blocks on the easel to represent 3 digit numbers. I then rolled the easel to my small group table so that I could refer to those models while assisting a small group of students with their independent work. Currently, we're diving into character traits in ELA. Students are using the easel to generate a list of character traits to refer to as we discuss the characters in our current story in depth. Your gift has not only enhanced our lessons but also empowered my students to take ownership of their learning.
