This table may seem like a simple piece of classroom furniture, but it has made a meaningful difference for my English learners.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving the table, students often had to work while sitting on the floor or sometimes even in the hallway because we did not have an appropriate space for small-group instruction. Having a designated table has given my students a comfortable, organized place where they can focus, participate, and learn together.\r\n\r\nSmall-group instruction is especially important for English learners because it gives them more opportunities to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a supportive setting. The kidney table allows me to sit close to each student, provide individualized support, model new language, and easily monitor their understanding. Since receiving the table, I have noticed that students are more attentive and engaged during our lessons.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this table has helped create a learning space where my students feel like they belong.
