When our Classroom Cruiser arrived, my students were so excited! They couldn't wait to see how they could combine movement and learning in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe have started using the Cruiser during independent reading, small-group activities, and independent work. Students take turns pedaling while continuing to work on their academic tasks. It has been wonderful to watch them discover that movement can actually help them focus and stay engaged.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite parts has been seeing students who need a little extra movement become more comfortable and confident while completing their work. Instead of feeling like they have to sit perfectly still in order to learn, they now have a positive way to move their bodies while remaining part of the learning.\r\n\r\nAs we continue throughout the school year, we will be incorporating the Cruiser into our daily routines, especially during reading and independent work. My goal is for students to recognize what their bodies need and learn how to use movement as a tool to help themselves refocus and get ready to learn.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly thankful to each and every donor who made this possible. You have helped create a classroom where learning and movement can happen together, and this resource will continue to benefit my students for years to come.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for investing in their learning, confidence, and well-being.
