Giving students the choice of where and how they sit—whether it's on a wobble stool, a cushion, or at a table—has helped them feel more comfortable and in control of their learning environment.\r\n\r\nFor many of my young readers, this sense of ownership translates to greater motivation and willingness to participate during reading activities. Students are more eager to read aloud, discuss stories, and stay engaged during small-group instruction. Flexible seating also supports movement, which is essential for early learners who often find it challenging to sit still for long periods. By meeting their physical needs, I've noticed improved stamina and attention during reading lessons.","fullyFundedDate":1755688580062,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9466075/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morgan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5085403_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741913953263","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5085403"},{"teacherId":5085403,"projectId":9618484,"letterContent":"One of my biggest goals as a reading specialist is to create a space that feels fun, welcoming, and empowering. I want every student to feel proud to be here, not like they have to come, but like they get to come. 💜\r\n\r\nThis year, I'm thrilled to launch something brand new: Knowledge Necklaces! 🎉 Thanks to the incredible generosity of all of you, each student who visits my room will have their own drawer filled with beads that represent the skills they've learned. Every time they master something new in reading, they'll get to add a bead to their necklace.\r\n\r\nBy the end of the year, these necklaces will tell the story of their growth as readers, piece by piece, skill by skill. Students will proudly wear them, showing off not just what they know, but also their hard work, joy, and confidence in reading.\r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of my heart. 💕 Your kindness has given my students a meaningful, motivating way to see their success shine and that kind of encouragement is priceless.\r\n\r\nHere's to a year full of learning, laughter, and lots of beads!","fullyFundedDate":1755890359853,"projectUrl":"project/necklaces-of-knowledge-celebrating-read/9618484/","projectTitle":"Necklaces of Knowledge, Celebrating Reading, and Spelling Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morgan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5085403_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741913953263","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5085403"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_88815","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":400,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":90,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"14.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.0,"schoolId":88815,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about College Square Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"College Square Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/beaver-area-school-district/college-square-elementary-school/88815"}
