The students will explore the life cycle of an egg through a hands-on experience. They will learn the different parts of the egg and why each part is important to the development of the chick or duck. They will also take a peek inside the egg and see the chick or duck as it develops and some milestones that occur. The students will engage in taking care of the incubator, adding moisture, making sure the eggs are turning, and making sure enough heat is being applied. The students will learn what the "momma" duck or hen does to care for their young. After the ducks or chicks hatch the student will learn to care for the babies. The ducklings or chicks will stay with us for a week and then will be given to a farm.
