Your generosity is absolutely amazing!\r\n\r\nThis is our fourth year at having an instrumental music program. Since we are a young program anything I want to add to the curriculum has to be purchased. This school year we are continuing our extensive study of percussion instruments. The student excitement about \"drumming\" is unbelievable.\r\n\r\nMy students were beyond excited to help unbox and put together the new Toca Color Sound Djembe set you so generously donated money to buy. We have already begun to put them into use on \"drum days.\"\r\n\r\nIn the near future my students will perform percussion ensembles at our Christmas and Spring Showcases along with the possibility of going to local solo/ensemble competitions. It is so exciting as an educator to observe young learners so enthusiastic about centers. The addition of new materials makes the area a whole new experience. The dolls are a perfect size for small hands and have been enjoyed greatly. The marble run was added to the light table during Community Helper week as a plumber/construction worker. The students created many plumbing schemes and used lots of problem solving techniques. The additional family figurines created tons of play opportunities and socialization amount my little learners as well.
