My young students will learn so much from a well stocked block area! Some of those skills include reasoning, symmetry, balance and counting, all important math skills! The construction area is always full of action and gives way to a natural environment to practice social skills and problem solving. Other important educational areas practiced in this center are colors, shapes and environmental print such as on road signs and vehicles! Dramatic play is always encouraged in the prek classroom and happens so naturally in the block area. Science skills are introduced in the form of simple machines. So much learning in one area!
