This daily practice helps students build confidence and fluency as they work through stories, breaking down key details such as characters, settings, and important plot points. They then create a book web or complete a book report, helping them synthesize and analyze the story while developing critical thinking skills. By focusing on these essential elements, students gain a deeper understanding of the text and strengthen their comprehension abilities.\r\n\r\nThe recent addition of Disney and Marvel books has significantly enhanced student engagement and enthusiasm for reading. These beloved franchises captivate the students' imaginations, making the reading experience more exciting and relatable. The familiarity and appeal of the characters have made it easier to capture their attention and motivate them to dive into the stories. As a result, students are not only more eager to read but are also developing stronger literacy skills, making reading both enjoyable and educational. The integration of these popular books has transformed reading into an activity students eagerly look forward to each day.","fullyFundedDate":1748553491632,"projectUrl":"project/powered-by-reading-beginner-books-with/9383342/","projectTitle":"Powered by Reading: Beginner Books with Beloved Characters","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Butler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10045250_orig.jpg?crop=675,675,x0,y112&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748455301860","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10045250"},{"teacherId":10045250,"projectId":9386375,"letterContent":"Each day, students actively engage in monitoring the health and growth of plants in the hydroponic system by checking seed status, plant development, and water levels. Using gallon and teaspoon measurements for water and nutrients, and rulers to track plant growth, students gain hands-on experience with key agricultural practices while developing critical measurement and observation skills.\r\n\r\nIn addition to their daily responsibilities, each student has created a list of plants they would like to grow, exploring the possibility of growing them within the hydroponic system. This project not only teaches them about sustainable gardening practices but also fosters creativity and problem-solving as they research and determine which plants are viable for the system. Through this process, students are gaining a deeper understanding of plant biology and the science behind hydroponics, while also learning valuable lessons in teamwork and responsibility.","fullyFundedDate":1749139278318,"projectUrl":"project/stem-grows-here-hydroponic-engineering/9386375/","projectTitle":"STEM Grows Here: Hydroponic Engineering for Young Scientists","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Butler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10045250_orig.jpg?crop=675,675,x0,y112&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748455301860","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10045250"},{"teacherId":8828721,"projectId":7541706,"letterContent":"The children have been able to do journal writing daily.
