My Elementary students are just beginning to be exposed to coding and these robots have always been a favorite! \r\n One of the features I love about these robots is that students not only learn the software side of robotics coding, but also the hardware side. You see, they come as a kit which students have to assemble using screws, nuts and bolts - which many of my students have never used before. Once the robot is assembled, it is ready to use. \r\n The companion app, MBlock Blockly, allows students to learn how to code the robot at their own pace. They learn how to give commands for the robot to move, light up, and even play music!\r\n Having new robots to replace some of the well loved and well used robots we have had for eight years will allow our STEM Lab to continue to teach coding for many more years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1746041546507,"projectUrl":"project/mission-to-mars/9288010/","projectTitle":"Mission To Mars","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Frantz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3198882_orig.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745772310229","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/northridgestem"},{"teacherId":4831444,"projectId":9134106,"letterContent":"I am so very thankful for your support for my classroom and students. Being a public school educator at a Title I school, means a lot of my resources and supplies come out of my pocket. So, by funding my project, it takes a huge financial burden off of my shoulders. \r\n\r\nEvery child deserves a place to relax. The lights, big pillow, and sitting pillows will help create an environment where they can unwind and be cozy while they read a book or do an assignment. The glue sticks, expo markers, etc. will allow them to have the supplies necessary to be successful academically by providing what they need. I print out a lot of stuff myself on my personal copier, so providing ink will help take that financial burden away. So, thank you.\r\n\r\nYou didn't have to give, but you did. I cannot wait to have the supplies you donated put to use and see my kiddos faces when they walk in to a cozy room, with all the supplies they need. We made sparkly valentines bags and just recently, quadrilateral robots. They kids were so excitied to see more than just colored paper. They saw pipe cleaners, printed paper, brand new crayons and more. \r\n\r\nYour support means so much to me, as I genuinely love what I do in the classroom.
