Our school is being transformed from a low academic school into a high achieving learning community! Our 4th grade has 5 classrooms! We want our students to feel comfortable in each room. Our goal is to create reading areas where students can share their creative thoughts, listen to a teacher model their thinking/strategies, and be a safe place to explore literature at their leisure. Dr. Sheryl Reinisch, a former College of Education Dean, has stated that "being comfortable helped students feel at home in their classroom, which in turn helped them learn."

About my class
