My students were so excited to receive the new stools and table. It is a class favorite to sit at. I love offering my students seating options in which they can move around without being a distraction to others. Some students prefer the option of being able to stand and work, which is an option with this standing height desk. We spend a lot of time reading and writing in my ELA classroom, so I love for students to be able to be comfortable while learning. They are more likely to be engaged in the task at hand when they are not expected to remain in a traditional desk all day. It is a fantastic way to give students a peek into the United States' criminal justice system. Students are able to connect with non-fiction stories provided throughout the book and are able to empathize and understand some of the deep-seated issues at work within the criminal justice system. \r\nAfter completing the novel, students complete a research paper based on one of the issues that the book covers.
