I am requesting a camcorder, phone tripod adapters, and microphones. Students are at the cutting edge of technology. Schools fall behind in this, and I want my students to have the most updated resources available. Currently, they share one microphone and two phone tripod adapters that I personally purchased. Our video camera is also used for athletics, so we have to share it when it's available. During the year, students take pictures, create videos, record voice overs, and edit audio. They create hands-on projects that we use for school events and enter in contests. Many even create videos outside of class to use at banquets and end-of-the year activities. In addition, students record, edit, and produce a school news show each week during the spring. With about 60 students in these classes, we need more equipment so they can effectively complete assignments and compete in contests. This equipment will help make doing these activities more efficient and effective.
