My students are using the math spinners during math practice to make learning more hands-on and interactive. The flexible seating options give students choices about where they work, which has been especially helpful during independent reading, writing, and math activities. We are also using the indoor recess games to encourage students to work together, take turns, communicate, and problem-solve. The organization supplies have helped us create a better system for collecting and organizing student work, and the ice machine is an important resource for helping students who need ice after a minor injury at school.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments has been watching my students use the math spinners during a math lesson. They were excited to spin, solve their problem, and explain their thinking to a partner. What could have been a simple practice activity became an opportunity for students to talk about math, learn from one another, and have fun while practicing important skills.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were so excited! They wanted to see what everything was and immediately started asking when they could use the games, seating, and math materials. Their excitement reminded me how meaningful even small additions to a classroom can be.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building on what we are learning in math, reading, and writing. Students will continue using the spinners for math practice and the flexible seating options during independent work. As we move through our current lessons, I will continue encouraging students to work independently, collaborate with classmates, and take ownership of their learning.
