These donations will be really helpful for my students. I feel as though the reading materials, such as the pocket sleeves, will help when I am engaging with the students in guided reading groups. They have reading passages that they will be able to write on using the sleeves without damaging my originals, which allows me to reuse them year after year. The bright, colorful stools are also great for the students to be able to take a break from their desk and sit on in the reading center with a cool, zebra, shaggy rug (need to purchase also) that matches our classroom decor. Being in this cozy reading center makes it fun and inviting for students to come and read. There are a few other materials and games I've requested to help the students become more engaged during our literacy center time. All of the items I have requested will help my students to be engaged in the learning environment that represents Mrs. B's 2nd Grade Class.
