I enjoy working with clay with the students. All students, regardless of academic levels, have so much success with clay. They can succeed on so many levels with clay and since it does not have to be oven baked--it is an easy medium for the classroom as well. \r\n Clay offers so many benefits: helps students develop their motor skills, lets them put all the creativity and imagination into a physical sculputure. There is no \" right or wrong\" --it is just what the student wants to create with the clay! They also learn form, texture, and volume. If they make a mistake....oh well....just roll it out and start again ( hey, that is a great life skill in practice!). It also allows themto learn to use art as a stress and theraputic outlet. They can let all the daily stress go and gain peace with all the sensory time spent with the clay. \r\n Again, thank you so much. The students loved this project and are so thankful that you cared enough to bring them joy!
