They have made such a huge difference in our room already. I knew they would help with organization, but I honestly did not realize just how much they would change the overall feel and function of our classroom.\r\nIf you have ever been in a kindergarten classroom, you know that we have A LOT of stuff! Between backpacks, jackets, lunchboxes, folders, supplies, and everything else that comes along with a room full of little learners, things can get cluttered very quickly. Our old storage just was not working well for us anymore. These new cubbies have allowed us to organize everything so much better and have given us back valuable classroom space.\r\nOne of my favorite things about the new cubbies is simply being able to move around my classroom more easily. Kindergarteners are always on the move, and so am I! We are constantly transitioning between the carpet, tables, centers, small groups, and different activities throughout the day. Having less clutter and more open space has made our classroom feel bigger, calmer, and much easier to navigate. It is amazing how much better a classroom can function when everything has a place.\r\nMy students absolutely love the cubbies too! They are so proud to have their own spaces for their belongings. I love watching them become more independent as they learn to put their things away and keep their areas organized. Independence is such an important part of kindergarten, and these cubbies are helping us practice those skills every single day.\r\nMost of all, I want to say how incredibly thankful I am for DonorsChoose and for the wonderful donors who make projects like this possible. Teachers are always thinking of ways to make our classrooms better for our students, but we cannot always provide everything we would love to give them on our own. Your generosity allows us to make those ideas a reality.\r\nThese cubbies are so much more than just new classroom furniture. They have helped create a classroom that is more organized, less cluttered, and easier for my students to move around and learn in. They have given us more room to play, learn, work together, and just enjoy being kindergarteners!\r\nThank you for choosing to support my students and my classroom. Knowing that there are people willing to give so generously to help children they may never even meet means more than I can say. Every time I see my students happily using their cubbies and look around our newly organized classroom, I am reminded of your kindness.\r\nFrom this very grateful kindergarten teacher and a classroom full of happy little learners, THANK YOU! The trampolines, Hot Wheels, and basketball goals we received have already brought so much excitement, movement, and joy into our classroom. Seeing my students' faces light up when they first saw the new items was priceless! They could not wait to try everything, and these have quickly become some of their favorite things to use during our day.\r\nAs a kindergarten teacher, I know just how important movement and play are for young children. Five- and six-year-olds have a lot of energy, and they need opportunities throughout the day to move their bodies, play, and interact with one another. This is especially important during the beginning of our school year when the Oklahoma heat can make it simply too hot for us to safely spend much time outside. On those days, having the trampolines and basketball goals available gives my students a wonderful way to get some of their energy out while staying safely indoors.\r\nThe trampolines have been an especially big hit! My students love having a chance to jump and move, and I love that they can be physically active even when we cannot go to the playground. The basketball goals have also given them another fun way to stay active while practicing coordination, taking turns, and encouraging their friends.\r\nOf course, the Hot Wheels have been just as exciting! They provide a different type of play that encourages imagination, creativity, sharing, and social interaction. It is so much fun to watch the students create their own games and stories as they play together. At this age, play is such an important part of learning, and these materials give my students even more opportunities to learn while simply being kids.\r\nI am incredibly grateful for DonorsChoose and for the donors who make projects like this possible. Teachers have so many ideas for ways to make our classrooms better for our students, but we do not always have the resources to make those ideas happen on our own. Your generosity allows us to provide experiences and materials that our students might not otherwise have.\r\nPlease know that your donation is being enjoyed and appreciated every single day. You did much more than purchase trampolines, Hot Wheels, and basketball goals—you gave my kindergarten students opportunities to move, play, laugh, create, and enjoy being together.\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting my classroom and investing in my students.
