The children have quickly made it a favorite area for hands-on learning, exploration, and creative play. As they build with the magnetic tiles, they are learning to plan, experiment, and problem-solve while creating different structures. They are able to explore concepts such as shapes, balance, patterns, size, and spatial awareness in a fun and engaging way.\r\n\r\nSuperspace has also provided wonderful opportunities for our students to develop their social and emotional skills. The children often work together to build houses, towers, castles, and other creations, which encourages them to communicate, share materials, take turns, and listen to one another's ideas. They are learning how to cooperate with their classmates, work through disagreements, and celebrate each other's accomplishments. These experiences help build confidence, patience, independence, and a strong sense of belonging within our classroom community.\r\n\r\nCognitively, the Superspace encourages our students to think creatively and use critical-thinking skills. They are constantly asking questions, testing ideas, making predictions, and figuring out how to make their structures stronger or taller. When something doesn't work the way they expected, they are learning that they can try again, make changes, and find a new solution. This type of open-ended play allows each child to learn at their own level while developing important early STEM, language, and problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, Superspace has turned learning into something our children are excited to participate in. Our center room has become a place where imagination, collaboration, and discovery happen naturally through play. We are so excited to see how our students continue to grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively as they explore all the possibilities Superspace has to offer!","fullyFundedDate":1788386164275,"projectUrl":"project/build-a-superspace/10561595/","projectTitle":"Build a Superspace!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Austin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7577033"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68734","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":482,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":35,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":15,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":67.9,"schoolId":68734,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Antlers Elementry School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Antlers Elementry School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/antlers-public-schools/brantley-elementary-school-vegher/68734"}
