My students got the opportunity to use their imaginations by pretending to shop with the shopping cart and the other store props. I appreciate being able to engage with the children while using the new items because it encourages the kids to learn new vocabulary words and to make real life connections with the items and the activities they are acting out. I can use the conversations I have in the dramatic play area with the children about their interests and thoughts, to lesson plan for new activities and experiences. By planning activities based off of their interests and conversation they used while playing in the dramatic play area, the students will be more engaged and have a better chance of retaining that knowledge.","fullyFundedDate":1746699675424,"projectUrl":"project/dreaming-about-dramatic-play/9103687/","projectTitle":"Dreaming about Dramatic Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dunn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7924545_orig.jpg?crop=971,971,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1669575347297","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7924545"},{"teacherId":9916868,"projectId":9099910,"letterContent":"Thank you again for funding this project for my students. The new resources have made an incredible impact on both the atmosphere and the learning experience here. The headphones, which are used daily, have allowed my students to dive into personalized learning without distractions. For example, during our recent research project, students were able to listen to audio resources and educational videos with full focus, deepening their understanding of the topic at hand.\r\n\r\nThe construction paper has sparked creativity during our art projects, where students have designed and created posters for their book reports, adding a vibrant touch to our classroom walls. And the sanitizing wipes have helped us keep the classroom clean and safe, especially after group activities or shared materials. The abundance of pencils has encouraged my students to keep writing, and it's been amazing to see them constantly drafting new stories, ideas, and reflections in their journals.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up! They were thrilled to receive headphones that gave them the freedom to work individually without distractions. The construction paper and other supplies were immediately put to use, with some students even requesting specific colors for their projects.
