We've already begun using the new treats and rewards as part of our weekly goal-setting and celebration routine. Students earn points for kindness, effort, perseverance, and meeting their academic goals, and on \"Shopping Day,\" they finally get to exchange their points for something special.\r\n\r\nOne moment that truly stood out happened the very first time I opened the store. As soon as the students saw the chips, candy, pickles, cotton candy, and all the goodies you provided, they froze. Then the room collectively gasped, and one student whispered, \"Somebody did all this... for us?\" Their excitement was pure, genuine joy—followed by questions like, \"Why would people help kids they don't even know?\" It opened the door to a beautiful conversation about kindness, community, and the power of people who believe in them.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students something to look forward to, something to work for, and something that reminds them daily that they matter. One of the biggest highlights has been the color-changing hexagon lights I added to our sensory area. Students love going over to the wall to create their own patterns and designs, and the lights provide immediate visual feedback that reinforces cause-and-effect skills. This simple addition has quickly become a calming, motivating spot in our room where students can regulate and get ready for learning.\r\n\r\nThe dysgraphia books and handwriting paper have also made a noticeable impact. I've been using them with students who have been struggling with letter formation and visual motor integration, and the creative ideas in the book have given us fresh, engaging ways to practice handwriting. Activities that used to feel frustrating for some students are now more accessible, playful, and successful. I've already seen improvements in confidence and willingness to try tasks that were previously avoided.\r\n\r\nWe've also had fun incorporating the new scissor-skill activities, including the sensory box with scissor tongs and the dragon-themed board game. These tools have dramatically increased interest and engagement—students who typically shy away from cutting tasks were excited to try the new materials, and their enthusiasm was contagious. Seeing them so eager to practice scissor skills had all of us smiling. As we continue building on these successes, my students will keep using these materials to strengthen fine motor skills, improve regulation, and experience joyful learning.
