My students were very excited when I told them that I was able to have photocopy papers for them. The printed materials are helping my students to develop their fine motor skills through writing. I am a specialist and teach 7-8 classes per day. I teach English as a Second Language to K-2 students and one newcomer 5th grade group (newcomers meaning they just arrived from another country and speak NO English). My school has 215 EL students enrolled at this moment. \r\n\r\nWhen teaching my morning classes.....they are back to back. I must collect one group and return them to their classrooms and go straight for the next group and pull the students out. I share a room with another teacher and we have partitions (closets on wheels) to divide the room in half. It is difficult and challenging to teach this way with another teacher speaking in the background, showing videos, and moving around the classroom. People are constantly coming and going, etc. \r\n\r\nThis table is HELPING ME TREMENDOUSLY to do my job. My previous rectangular table did not fit all of my students and there was no place for me to sit as the instructor. I used to have a \"kidney\" table but it was taken from me and given to a regular classroom teacher (they get priority). Now, I have an appropriate table for my teaching and it can never be taken from me due to the \"Donors Choose\" status unless I leave the school. I am a fluent Spanish speaker and I LOVE the children at my school and plan to retire here. I am ecstatic to have this table which enables me to reach all students easily. All students are facing me as I teach. All students have space at the table to write and manipulate materials without being squished. All students can enter the room in a timely manner and sit in their designated spot without stumbling over furniture that does not fit the shared teaching space. I am able to distribute materials in a timely manner and have as much teaching time as possible (my classes are 30-40 minutes max). \r\n\r\nI am so grateful for people like you who are looking for people like me to help. I am divorced and my only daughter is an Engineering student at NCSU (on several scholarships). You have eliminated much of my stress by providing me with this essential piece of equipment that I could not afford to purchase myself.
