Students have begun using these resource books to help them understand the content. It describes most of the concepts in simple words and uses pictures and diagrams.\r\nWe use these books as an additional resource. I keep the relevant pages posted on the board so students can grab a book when they need to see information presented in another way.\r\nParent's of my students purchased several of the books at the beginning of the year but I did not have enough for all students to have their own copy in class. I do now thanks to your support. Students used this book in 6th and 7th grade so they are familiar with the book, making it easier to find information and understand it.\r\nI really appreciate your dedication to our students and their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1759165028072,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-students-ace-science/9737361/","projectTitle":"Help My Students Ace Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cantrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10245511"},{"teacherId":396821,"projectId":9470038,"letterContent":"The Exploragon resources came just in time for me to use them in our unit with angles. We are working on parallel lines and the angle relationships between them when they are cut by an intersecting line. They were particularly helpful with the more complex problems that had multiple lines that intersect. The visuals can get extremely overwhelming and students often shut down. However, using these allowed them to remove certain lines and focus on small pieces at a time. \r\n\r\nMy students LOVED just creating things with them at first. I gave them a little time to make whatever they wanted. Some made pictures, others wrote their names, but some immediately made models of the problems we are working on in class. I know that for many students, these resources will have a lasting impact on their ability to retain the information and apply these skills in multiple situations. \r\n\r\nThank you again for making math FUN and concrete for my kiddos!","fullyFundedDate":1756052277446,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-with-exploragons/9470038/","projectTitle":"Exploring with Exploragons","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp396821_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1459273800445","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/laurensmith"},{"teacherId":10245511,"projectId":9691816,"letterContent":"My students were so excited when I told them our project was fully funded in only 4 days. This is thanks to Riple who matched each donation. To our surprise, our periodic table arrived the very next day. I couldn't contain my excitement; it was so contagious. \r\n\r\nOther science teacher were jealous that it was the most up to date version. They were still excited to help me hang it on my bare wall. It completed the room I envisioned for my students. \r\n\r\nThe look on my students' faces when they walked in and saw it the first day was priceless. They couldn't wait to start learning the elements and their properties. \r\n\r\nOur first day in the unit I played the Animaniacs Periodic Table song, https://youtu.be/GzW4sK5O2PY?si=4lugA63LGTmqcTSG. They followed along as I pointed to each element box. I was so excited, I had to purchase a telescoping pointer to use.\r\n\r\nAs we move through our Chmistry unit students will memorize the element name, symbol, and number for 38 of the most common elements. They will become experts on a self-selected element with our Adopt an Element project and present it to the class. We will use the periodic table to practice the properties and reactivity of elements. Students will identify the number of protons and electrons, and calculate the number of neutrons. Our periodic table is vital to our understanding of the elements based on the organization that Mendeleev created with his Periodic Table of Elements. \r\n\r\nYour generosity is overwhelming and we thank you for helping us love Chemistry.","fullyFundedDate":1757557778183,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-students-love-chemistry/9691816/","projectTitle":"Help My Students Love Chemistry!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cantrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10245511"},{"teacherId":9607772,"projectId":8900529,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for pouring your finances into my students and their interest. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to replace damaged and inadequate supplies with durable, high-quality materials that will protect our instruments and resources for years to come. The 12 stackable plastic storage bins have made a world of difference, replacing the old cardboard boxes that had been compromised by water damage. Now, our classroom materials are safely stored in waterproof containers, ensuring that our students can access their supplies without the worry of further damage.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the thickened piano cover has also had a tremendous impact. Our piano is a vital tool in teaching vocal and choral music, and with this new quilted, waterproof cover, it is now protected from environmental damage. The integrity and tuning of our instrument are better preserved, allowing it to remain a central part of our music curriculum. It's a relief to know that such a valuable resource is now safely covered and can continue to enrich our students' musical education.\r\n\r\nYour support has also brought new creative opportunities to our classroom. With the variety of supplies you helped fund—masks, paint, glue guns, and more—our students are engaging in meaningful social-emotional learning by telling their own stories through theatrical expression and character development. These activities are deeply personal and empowering for our students, helping them grow both artistically and emotionally. Additionally, the materials provided for set and costume design are allowing students to bring our musical production to life with pride and ownership. Your generosity is not just providing supplies—it is helping to build confidence, creativity, and a lasting sense of accomplishment in our young artists.
