I'm a Curriculum Facilitator in a high needs public school. Our teachers are some of the hardest working around and will do whatever they can to help students succeed. Likewise, our students are hard workers, but some lack the background knowledge, stability, and support at home that can help them make connections between the content and real-life situations. We do our very best to teach students how to embrace diversity and work together in order to create a positive learning environment for all stakeholders. Part of my job is not only to help coach teachers, but also to work with small groups of students on an ongoing basis. Because funds are limited, I'm actively looking for ways to obtain enriching and relevant resources that will assist in helping all of our students grasp the standards and establish a love for learning.
