Reading in my 6th-grade classroom looks different from day to day. Every nine weeks, we have a different book study. The Holocaust book study will be the last nine weeks of the 26-27 school year. I couldn't use them last school year because the books arrived after I started the Anne Frank book study.\r\n\r\nThe different levels of books about Anne Frank that you donated to my class will help my students learn background information about her and her life before we begin reading The Diary of Anne Frank. The students will really love the National Geographic World History Biographies; the photographs are exquisite.\r\n\r\nWith the three different-level Anne Frank books, students can read on their reading level with a friend, answer questions, and then we have a group discussion. Some days they will read independently. This will ensure they understand what they read for classwork or homework.
