This week we have been using it to make student-designed piñatas and models of houses for a hurricane resilience test. We are continuing to explore ways of connecting cardboard to create moveable linkages and costume pieces. It was such a joy to see them fully engaged in a story. \r\n\r\nFox and Chick & Beak and Ally were both adorable series! Their sweet friendships were shared by so many of my students. Your support has brought a new level of creativity and collaboration to our projects. \r\n\r\nThe iPads are a powerful tool for learning. We're using them to document and film our gravity experiments, like our 90 group-project marble runs. The iPads also let us control our classroom robots, creating team games where groups navigate their robots to answer quiz questions. This has transformed lessons into engaging, hands-on challenges. Beyond that, the iPads are incredibly handy tools for drawing, illustrating, and creating stop-motion stories, which have become a class favorite.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is using the iPads to control our classroom robots and create collaborative games. They love the challenge of navigating the robots and working together to solve problems. \r\n\r\nThe impact of the iPads has been especially significant for our English language learners. We've been able to keep a few iPads at tables where students can use them to translate language, helping them better understand and communicate with their peers. This has made learning more accessible and has helped them feel more connected. One student who was once hesitant to participate now uses the iPad to illustrate their ideas and share them with the class. \r\n\r\nYour donation has empowered my students to become creators, problem-solvers, and collaborators. Your gift has sparked joy and curiosity in a way few other resources can.\r\n\r\nWhat has been truly remarkable to witness is how seamlessly the Sphero Indis promote cooperative problem-solving and perseverance. Faced with a challenge, students instantly band together, brainstorming, testing, and refining their approaches without hesitation. You can often hear cheers erupting from our classroom when a group successfully programs their Indi to complete its task.
