These resources have truly enriched our learning environment and opened up new worlds for my students.\r\n\r\nThe students' initial reaction to the new books was one of excitement and curiosity. The vibrant covers and the diverse range of stories immediately caught their attention. Many were eager to explore characters and settings that reflected a broader spectrum of human experience than they had encountered in our previous collection. I overheard one student exclaim, \"Wow, these stories look really interesting!\" as she flipped through the pages of a book. There was a palpable sense of discovery as they realized the richness and diversity within Native American literature.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your incredible generosity. Your contribution has not only provided us with valuable resources but has also fostered a deeper understanding, empathy, and appreciation for the diverse voices and experiences within our society. I truly appreciate the support I receive from the community. Without that support I wouldn't have many of the things I need in my classroom.\r\nThis particular project is helping our entire 6th grade class. I requested computer mice for our students to use with their school issued Chromebooks. Students are not as \"gentle\" with their technology as adults would be. They also have to carry their computers around all day which leads to accidents. The most common repair needed is for the touch pad. The small wires inside the pad break or disconnect very easily. This causes the touch pad not to work. Once the touch pad is not responding the rest of the computer cannot be used. This happens to several students each day. We have a technology person but they cannot fix issues immediately. So, having the computer mice is a life saver!! \r\nThe mice also come into play when we are doing special projects. It is very hard to be precise with a touch pad. When the students are creating digital items it helps to have the mouse for detail work.\r\nAgain, I truly appreciate your generosity. People like you are a blessing to me and my students.","fullyFundedDate":1733152344721,"projectUrl":"project/here-mousy-mousy-mousy-two/8958660/","projectTitle":"\"Here Mousy, Mousy, Mousy\" Two","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bea Robison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp16184_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673306717576","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/16184"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2410","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":507,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":41,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"13.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":71.8,"schoolId":2410,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morehead City Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morehead City Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/carteret-county-schools/morehead-city-middle-school/2410"}
