These magazines will provide my students with the opportunity to read about art, which is not currently an option for them. They will be able to flip through the pages and see examples of famous artwork, inspirational students examples, and read thought provoking visual analysis questions. "Scholastic Art Magazine is the only classroom resource designed to increase visual arts knowledge and improve student proficiency in English language arts." Integrating literacy into my art classroom is one of my main goals as a beginning teacher. Not only is this magazine such a great resource for the students, but for teachers, as well. Every issue of the magazine includes alignments, lesson plans, and skills sheets that support national language arts and visual arts standards. Scholastic Art magazine also provides in depth instruction to help students make art wherever they are, even at home.
