For my 8th grade science students in a face-to-face setting, they will use these materials hands-on. For those in a virtual setting, they will get to participate in doing the lab with me virtually through Google Meets where they can make decisions, observe, and develop conclusions while I act as their hands, manipulating the equipment. Eastern NC is ripe for expanding jobs in solar and wind energy, and I hope to increase my students' knowledge in these fields though our 8th grade renewable energy science unit, nurturing their interest in science careers.
